Horizon explores the fragile and turbulent relationship between a father and son, and the damage that can grow from protection becoming control. Set entirely at sea, the sailboat shifts from a symbol of freedom to a space of confinement.
Afroditi Tavri grew up in Chalkida and studied Sociology and Film. Horizon is her first short film, in which she explores the fragile and violent balances within family life and the imprint they leave on human relationships.
